Jennifer R. Cardinal, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, Board Certified Behavioral Analyst and a nationally certified school psychologist (NASP) who specializes in psychology, school/neuro psychology, and autism. She is currently the lead clinical psychologist at Neurobehavioral Center for Growth. She completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology Counseling and Guidance at Brigham Young University and later completed her Doctorate Degree in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology, at the University of Utah. She has worked as a school counselor for the Salt Lake School District and spent several years as a school psychologist in the Jordan and Davis School districts. Later, she completed a post-doctoral residency in pediatric neuropsychology at the Neuropsychology Center of Utah.

Dr. Cardinal has experience assessing and providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of brain-based disorders such as ADHD, autism, nonverbal learning disorders, learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, Tourette’s, bipolar disorder, memory issues and traumatic brain injury. Dr. Cardinal also works with LGBTQ children and young adults and their families.

Additionally, Dr. Cardinal has completed research related to the use of technology in enhancing the implementation of evidence-based practice for autism in the school setting. Due to her expertise and diverse skills, Dr. Cardinal has presented for several organizations including topics on parenting, evidence-based interventions, executive functioning, ADHD, work rehabilitation, crises response for suicide, theory of mind and social thinking, autism, the use of technology to implement and assess interventions, classroom management, and special education. Dr. Cardinal is former board member of UASP (Utah Association of School Psychologists) and currently sits on the board of the Learning Disabilities Association of Utah (LDAU).
